Sexual Services Industry

Other then ethical and legal issues, the main issues regarding the sexual services industry from a business point of view are where such services take place. And, like most businesses, it is an issue of - zoning - which is controlled (administered) by a municipality (city or town).

Where such services take place also determines what could be described as the "class" of service being offered, based on the costs (& services) involved.

HOTEL
From a "CLASS" perspective, services offered in hotel rooms are typically the most expensive. The service providers (like all providers, mostly female but also some male providers as well, serving both male (as well as females)) are also usually better educated as the service they provide is not just physical but also social and conversational.
These services brand themselves through advertising as ESCORTS and typically have the least resistance from municipal governments in operating. Many municipal governments, including the City of Vancouver, license escorts which validates them in the eyes of the public as well as out of town visitors who are usually the clients of escorts.
In terms of VARIETY of service providers, escort services are probably the most diverse in terms of not just gender but also ethnicity and physical appearance, especially here in Vancouver.

STORE-FRONT / OFFICE
Services in store-front or office style venues are offered in private rooms, usually on a massage table or bed. Showers and sauna or steam rooms are also common features. Most locally are Asian style massage venues which usually pride themselves on giving good quality massage (with most practitioners having some kind of training), but also provide "extras" with exactly what those are up to the individual girl which provides such services based on tips which are separate from the room fee.
These services typically brand themselves through advertising as massage or body-rub venues (non-rmt (registered massage therapists). The venues themselves are licensed by the city which fully understands erotic (sexual) style services are being offered. In terms of the attire the mainly female practitioners wear during treatments ranges from uniform or medical style attire all the way to lingerie depending on the venue and style of service being offered.
The practitioners (also called therapists) are not licensed through the city but may belong to some kind of Professional Body which promotes training and professional conduct.
FEES for services are usually paid via Cash, but Debit & Credit Cards can also usually be accepted.

APARTMENT / HOME
In terms of VARIETY, all ethnicities (& genders) are represented by service providers working from an apartment or home-based venue. Most also live where they work but some (such as those who work in a group) sometimes rent an apartment in order to work from.
FEES for services are usually only paid using Cash.

VEHICLE (Secluded or Private Indoor area) or OUTSIDE
Usually a street "pickup" by vehicle then driven to a secluded area or park.
Activity could also take place without a vehicle in an alley way or park - or even in someones back yard.  Washrooms, Parkades & Stairwells are also popular.
